ALI NAJAFI, M.D.

Dr. Najafi is a board certified fellowship trained neurosurgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders. Having performed over 6,000 complex spinal surgeries in the last 20 years, Dr. Najafi is recognized for his operative skills, expertise and compassionate care of his patients.

For optimal results Dr. Najafi uses a multi faceted and disciplined approach to assess each surgery. His goal is to treat each patient with the latest surgical and non-surgical tools to achieve the best treatment outcomes with minimal risk and recovery time.

Dr. Najafi received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Missouri state university with highest honors. He then went on to University of Missouri School of Medicine graduating at the top of his class followed by Neurosurgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. Dr. Najafi finished his skull base fellowship at the renowned Semmes-Murphy Clinic in Memphis, TN.

The majority of procedures he performs are anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), lumbar fusion (TLIF,ALIF,XLIF), minimally invasive neck surgery and lumbar fusion, spinal cord stimulator (SCS) and pain pump, microdiscectomy, lumbar/cervical artificial disc placement and anterior/posterior spinal instrumented fusion of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Prior to starting a practice in Newport Beach Ca., Dr. Najafi has been passionately serving in Fresno and the surrounding central valley/coast of California, which he continues to do so.

Dr. Najafi is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies dedicated to the advancement of spine surgery, and has served as Chair for the Department of Neurosurgery at St. Agnes Hospital Medical Director

Dr. Najafi and his wife enjoy traveling and spending quality family time with their three sons. They are passionate about philanthropy and believe in giving back to numerous causes and charitable organizations. On their free time they enjoy the Southern Ca. lifestyle and can be found of the beach.
